Embracing the Montessori Method with ANIMaD’s Montessori Flashcards
The Montessori Method, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori over a century ago, is a child-centered educational approach that emphasizes independence and creativity. This method encourages children to explore and learn at their own pace, guided by their natural interests.
At ANIMaD, we support this philosophy by offering our hand-drawn Printable and Editable Montessori Flashcards for kids. These flash cards are designed to enhance children’s learning experiences, and can be used both in the classroom and at home.
What Are The Montessori Flashcards?
Montessori flashcards, also known as 3-part cards, are versatile learning aids that help children build vocabulary, enhance memory, and connect images with everyday objects/meanings.
The classic Montessori 3-part cards (also known as nomenclature cards) consist of the Master Card, the Image Card and the Label Card:
the picture card
The Picture Card displays only the image.
the label card
The Text Card displays only the text
The benefits of Montessori cards
Montessori flashcards offer many educational benefits.
First of all, they can be used as vocabulary cards and support vocabulary building by introducing new words and concepts.
They also reinforce memory retention by allowing children to repeatedly engage with the material.
By connecting images with real-world objects, kids develop a deeper understanding of their environment .
It’s a flexible educational tool, than can be used in various ways and different ages, to suit different learning stages and needs.
This is exactly how we designed our Montessori Flash cards : to be flexible.
